 We are a small, high end cake shop in the heart of West Reading and we're looking for a cake/ cupcake decorator and baking assistant with intermediate-expert level set of skills.

Duties include:

-Assisting with the preparation of cake batters, buttercreams, cake pops, sugar cookies
-Baking and filling French macarons
-Basic kitchen tasks: Dish washing, cleaning our kitchen equipment, and store front area
-Waiting on customers with a positive/friendly demeanor when needed.

 -Filling/ crumb coating cakes 

-Decorating buttercream cakes and assisting in the decoration of fondant cakes when needed. 

-Hand make fondant decorations 

Qualifications/ Requirements:

 
-Baking and decorating experience/ knowledge is required

-Commercial kitchen experience preferred but not mandatory
-Positive attitude and willingness to learn
-Organized, efficient, and able to work in a fast pace multitasking, work environment
-Must have own transportation
-Must be in compliance with and actively support a Drug Free Workplace

-Must be able to lift 50lbs/ work on your feet most of the day

-Must be available to work on Saturdays

-Must be available to work after/ before business hours during busy holiday season/ major holidays (Mother's Day, Valentine's Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc.)

-Impeccable work ethic and dependability, punctuality and perfect attendance are a must.
-Approximately 35-40 hrs per week; (hours include Tuesday- Saturday 9:00 AM -5:00 PM)

-Available to work at least 2 Saturdays per month, this is mandatory and non-negotiable
